The SleepSense PTFlow Thermistor Sensor (# 1462-H) for the Sandman 20 employs a hanger that easily attaches to any brand of adult nasal cannula allowing you to easily use this product simultaneously with a pressure cannula while providing patient comfort. This sensor holds durably to the cannula, has bendable prongs for patient comfort, and provides quality signals throughout the night.
Comprised of four heat-sensitive elements, the SleepSense respiration flow sensor is placed under the patient's nostrils and produces a signal that is directly proportional to the temperature changes of air inhaled and exhaled during respiration. The sensor generates a small analog electrical voltage that provides a clear, reliable indication of respiration airflow. The sensor should be connected to the system's thermal-flow input.
