Reconditioning Process:
All equipment goes through a multi-step reconditioning process. Each unit is restored to a like-new status. The rotating x-ray tube allows for greater penetration and resolution for the lumbar area when doing needle localizations or other work involving the thicker anatomical areas of patients. For barium swallows a VCR or Digital Video Recorder can be utilized for better record keeping and post study analysis. 
Mechanical repairs/cosmetic maintenance
ÔÇó All defective parts and covers are┬árepaired or replaced
ÔÇó C-arm is completely disassembled┬áand repainted
ÔÇó ÔÇ£CÔÇØ is removed from main frame┬áassembly
ÔÇó Horizontal arm removed, inspected┬áand repaired as necessary
ÔÇó Vertical column removed and┬ábearings removed inspected and┬áreplaced as required
ÔÇó X-ray tube removed and inspected┬áfor artifacts and internal integrity
ÔÇó Image intensifier removed and┬áinspected for any imperfections┬áand grid integrity
ÔÇó Camera removed
ÔÇó Wheels removed, cleaned and or┬áreplaced from main chassis
ÔÇó Chassis inspected for structural┬ádefects and repaired as necessary
ÔÇó Vertical lift assembly is tested for┬ádrift and adjusted/replaced if┬ánecessary
ÔÇó All bearings are inspected, cleaned┬áand re-lubricated, or replaced as┬áneeded
ÔÇó Control panel display is tested and┬áreplaced if necessary
ÔÇó All wheels are inspected and┬álubricated and/or replaced as┬áneeded, with new cable pushers┬áinstalled
ÔÇó All locks and brake assemblies are┬áinspected, cleaned, and repaired┬áor replaced as needed
ÔÇó C-arm is completely disassembled┬áand repainted
ÔÇó Steering is tested and adjusted as┬árequired
ÔÇó Foot switch and hand switch┬áprovided on each unit
ÔÇó A complete set of operator and┬áservice manuals are provided
Re-assembly
ÔÇó All components sent to C-arm┬áreassembly area for rebuilding
ÔÇó ÔÇ£CÔÇØ, Image tube and camera, Vertical column, main control and┬ápower cable installed
ÔÇó New batteries are installed
ÔÇó New CRT monitors installed in┬ámonitor cart
ÔÇó Monitor cart rebuilt
ÔÇó When C-arm is completely rebuilt┬ámechanically, system is sent for┬ácalibration and final testing
Testing/calibration
ÔÇó Image intensifier and X-ray tube┬áare tested for stability and balance
ÔÇó Image intensifier is tested for resolution and gain to be within OEM specifications
ÔÇó X-ray tube bearings are tested for noise and coast time
ÔÇó X-ray tube filaments and stator windings are tested
ÔÇó X-ray tube radiation output is verified to be within OEM┬áspecifications
ÔÇó X-ray generator high voltage tested
ÔÇó Maximum dose rate is set in┬ácompliance with government regulations
ÔÇó CCD camera calibrated to OEM┬áspecifications
ÔÇó X-ray beam is aligned for each┬áfield size
ÔÇó C-arm is tested for current leakage requirements
ÔÇó All monitors are aligned, resized,┬ácentered and focused
ÔÇó All monitors are adjusted for brightness and linearity
ÔÇó Video system is optimized for gray┬áscale and resolution
ÔÇó All power supplies are tested and┬ácalibrated or replaced as┬ánecessary
