The General Hospital Bed Pad has a multi-layered, multi-density mattress core for optimal comfort and postural support. It is perfect for those longer stays and high risk patients. The pad meets California Technical Bulletin 121 and 16CFR part 1633 fire test requirements. The mattress core has a FirmEdge passive restraint system with two 3" wide zones of ultra-firm foam, and an overall thickness of 6".

The removable cover is made of a Nymed polyurethane coated healthcare nylon top, 210 Denier (soft-never brittle), and Vynmed healthcare polyurethane coated vinyl bottom. It is fluid proof, anti-fungal, and stain resistant. The heavy-duty zipper has a fluid protection flap designed to direct fluid over and away from the zipper area.
